(Osaka University) Osaka University-led researchers showed that single CREB molecules interact with CRE for a longer duration at specific sites in the nucleus. Neuronal activity increased CREB-CRE interactions in the nucleus, possibly promoting CREB-dependent gene expression. The findings provide novel insights into how neuronal activity regulates gene expression.
